Join us for a truly unique opportunity to hear these beautiful declining birds in their evening chorus at Moat Farm.
We are blessed to have an abundance visiting us each year for their nesting period to raise their young in our Semi Natural Ancient Woodland that we carefully manage to ensure there is sufficient nesting habitat for these special birds.
We will be gathering in Jakes Barn for a drink of local wine, Kombucha and nibbles with a talk given by Kent Wildlife Trust Consultancy Director Mike Bax on the nightingales and the habitat they require. As night falls we will set off into the woods to hear their song.
Wildlife is unpredictable but we know we will have nightingales and it is very unlikely that we won’t hear them on the the night you are here.
Please come in suitable clothing and footwear as we will be heading into the woods in darkness.
Would you like to bring a small party?
In the past we had a friend who bought a party of 10 which worked well. They provided bread and cheese in Jakes Barn. If the weather is kind you are welcome to take the food to enjoy in the woods listening to the nightingales.
